With a career spanning well over a decade Simon Aston's credibility and reputation as both a top international DJ and music producer just continues to grow and grow.

It was way back in the early 90's that Simon was discovered by London's prestigious underground night 'Release the Pressure'. Firstly playing at their secret warehouse locations and then quickly moving on to a residency at the legendary 'Cafe De Paris' in Leicester Square, Simon soon found himself regularly DJing a circuit of clubs which included Sterns, The Empire and The Manor alongside leading players such as Mr C, Fabric’s Terry Francis and The End’s Matthew Bushwacka.

On the South Coast he's played just about everything that's anything. Bump 'n' Hustle, The Manor, High Tide and his own deep house night 'Uncut' with such guest artists as Ben Watt, Faith’s Stuart Patterson and Norman Jay, this amazing night ran for seven glorious years!

Simon’s underground roots have always been an influence on his music with sounds ranging from deep and soulful house, latin rhythms and more recently favouring techier sounds, the music always has a funk and drive which builds and builds, winning fans amongst the punters and music industry aficionados alike.

The end of the 90's saw Simon realise his potential as a producer and follow the path of many successful DJs before him into the studio. Both working solo and collaborating with other artists brought forth a string of successful chart releases on Soulfuric and Device records, culminating with a Latin tinged monster ‘Sentimento’ on his own label 'Mainline' which became one of the biggest hits of the summer in 2004.

Shaking up the dance floors form Miami to Ibiza and hammered by the likes of Sandy Rivera, Danny Rampling and Frankie Knuckles Sentimento took the number one position in DJ magazines 'Hype' Chart and was awarded 5/5 by Blues and Soul! This led to numerous gigs including London’s Ministry and Neighbourhood plus international bookings mainly in Germany and Eastern Europe.

In the last three years Simon has risen to even greater heights, as musical director at Junk Club, pushing a tech house sound alongside DJs including Layo & Bushwacka! Sandy Rivera and D. Ramirez, he has also played numerous guest slots in Ibiza at Pacha, Wonderland Eden and more. 2009 looks to be his biggest year yet, with more studio productions forthcoming on the new Junk Music!
