Jamie Jones
Biography
Jamie Jones began DJing aged 16 at his small home on some poor produced belt drive decks but quickly saved up cash and progressed to working in Ibiza for long seasons and picking up DJ slots where ever he could find them. He soon developed strong industry connections and in his spare time he honed his skills in the studio perfecting every master and carefully analysing every error or success.

This quickly paved the way for his first release on Dan Ghenacia’s “Freak N Chic” label where he quickly created a name for himself by becoming responsible for the labels biggest selling single release ‘Amazon’. Not only had he made a name for himself but he had also created his new sound which was unique and raw, sitting on the dark and edgy side but also with comparisons to that of moody Detroit techno.

After his successes with “Freak N Chic” he went on to run a series of parties called “DJsCanDance” which he regularly performed at and where he described his sets as “a mixed bag of mainly deep House and Techno”.

His productions skills have improved over the last couple of years and he has since had works on Crosstown Rebels, Poker Flat, Cocoon, and Get Physical receiving rave reviews from DJ and Mixmag for his production skills and his 2008 smash ‘Kaskazi’ with Simon Baker sat in Beatport’s top ten for several weeks and he remains in hot pursuit for his remixing ability.

Jones has also recently become known for his Sunday after-hours sessions at T Bar’s ‘Dig Your Own Rave’ in London and can often be found up in Leeds at Back2Basics where he often headlines. He continues to play at clubs throughout Europe including Le Club in Valencia and Tenax in Florence and has become a regular at DC10’s Circoloco in Ibiza.

Currently playing one of his favourite venues Fabric, he’s been tipped as one to watch in 2009 on the deep/tech House scene.
